fiitjee internal test

find the frctional acting on the mass 4kg
the options are
24n,8n,18n,10n

see... my bro whoos in fiitjee is telling me that opn the block of mass 2kg the frictional force 8n will act so tension will be 2n ... and i solve it
but i wonder why not the if the tension is 4n whats wrong then.... or maybe 3n ... i think theres a mistake in theses type of sums they r highly vague

anyways the answer tio this question is 18n pls think over and reply

maximum frictional force that can act on 2 kg block is 8N and that on 4 kg block is 24 N

So 4 kg block has no chance to move as we are applying a force of 20 N

On the left we are providing force of 10 N which is enough to move 2 kg block, but cannot move both the block together.

So it has tendency to move. So frictional force acting on it will be 8 N

SO we get tension as 2 N
