findacceleration

sorry to change ques.

how to use constraint method in hcverma newton's laws ex-9.
the prob there is to decide the direction of displacement of big block.

using energy we get constraint
as 2a1+a2+a3=0

but i know correct eq. is 2a1=a2+a3

nishant sir help.

mass of B ?

let it be M.

then acc of com = 10/(5+M)

both of tehm will have same acc as the surface in between is frictionaless..

then thi si scorrect only
A will have acceleration of 2 m/s2
B will have zero acceleration

sky read carefully...

john

remember that the sum wala is correct because in that case your +ve x axis is in the same direction

while in the other case that you have the direction is dependent on the convention that you are chosing

both are correct for different +ve sign conventions
