1exactly...calculate potential energy wen they r 1 m apart (this is their total energy coz they r at rest)
then calculate the total energies of particles (Potential n kinetic) individually wen they r at 0.5 m apart...n then equate the initial total energies to final total energies!!!...from the formula of KE u will get their speeds!!!
