no. of fissions = 104/200*1.6*10-19*106
= 3.12*1014
what's the answer?
Assuming 200 MeV of energy is released for fission of Uranium atom , find the number of fissions per second required to realease 10 kilowatt power.
no. of fissions = 104/200*1.6*10-19*106
= 3.12*1014
what's the answer?
anirudh yaar 200 MeV is given but u took only 200 eV in the denominator.
u have to take 200 x 10 6
Also probably one fission gives 3 neutrons, and each is capable of further fissions and emits 9 more neutrons(3 each ).
so may be ans will be different....
hey man may saw that and corrected.
can't say anything about the fission to be controlled or not?
let akshay post the answer
may be but if the ans varies my reason will into highlight......
HOPE UR IS CORRECT (seems to be)
m so sorrrrryyyyyyy guys i had forgotten to post the answer ............
yups answr is 3.12*10^14 fissions per secnd.......
plz forgive me
nd thank ew so much friends to try this prblem.......
