Q: A hydrogen gas filled balloon, attached with a certain weight, floats inside a water tank such that its top is just inside the surface of water. What will happen to it if it is submerged a certain distance below the surface and released?

62There will be higher pressure..
so the balloon will contract
and then the bouyant force will decrease.
Hence the net force will be downwards
So the baloon will sink.!
62then nothing would have happened.!
The weight would have just floated there..
it is like saying something has density equal to water... (or the fluid)
of course if u consider the compression of fluid (which is neglegible) due to bulk's modulus.. then the answer would be that it would float back upwards and do a shm kind of thing!
