ok thanks....got it...
A truck travelling due north at 50km/hr turns west and travels at the same speed. What is the change in velocity?
(A)50km/hr north-west (B)50√2km/hr north-east
(C)50√2km/hr south-west (D)50√2km/hr south-east
(I had a confusion...would it be 50√2km/hr north-west....or (C)...? )

Well, You have to keep somethings in mind. If any time you are trying to find out the change it MUST be FINAL-INITIAL.
In this question too, you have to subtract final velocity- initial velocity. After this its a vector subtraction question and i am sure you know addition and subtraction.
In this case C is the right option.
