For first pulley
2mg-T = 2ma₁...............(1)
T-mg = ma₁
a₁= g/3
For second pulley
2mg-mg = ma₂
mg = ma₂...................(2)
a₂ = g
therefore a₁=a₂/3 or
f_a = f_b/3
