Please help me with the solution of the ellipsoid question.
Find the moment of inertia of the following w.r.t the
axis passing through their centre of mass:
1.An elipzoid(3-d of an ellipse).
2.A regular hexagon of side 'a'.

Ellipsoid should not be very difficult..
But the problem si that there are a lot of axis passing through their cernter of mass...
Regular hexagon could be treated as 6 equilateral triangles...

small (I think obvious) clarification..
do you want to find the moment of inertia on any axis.. or one of the 3 principal axes?

no it is fine.. but cant i cook up 3 different expressions which all give the same answer on putting a=b?? :D
