The answer is a)
just draw the free body diagram properly and you will be able to solve...
See first of all...
on the block m2 two forces are acting i.e. weight downwards and the tension upwards...
considering just before moving the body is in equilibrium..hence tension(T)=m2g
for the first block four forces are acting weight, tension the normal force from the ground and friction which is static in this case..
the normal component of tension and the normal force will balance the weight..
N=m1g-Tsin45
and horizontally the horizontal component of tension balances the friction(f)=uN...
i.e. Tcos45=uN;
T=m2g;
and Tcos45=u(m1g-Tsin45)...
hence from the two eqns solve for u...
understood????
dude it's Sayantan..!!!!
GOT WHERE I WENT WRONG...........I WAS TAKING ACCELERATION TOO..........SO I WAS GETTING THREE EQUATIONS AND FOUR VARIABLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes...there will be no accln as it says as the body just begins to move..!!!
