i am not understanding this concept
when a slab is placed in fromt of one of the silts it results in the shifting of the fringes inderstood the ashift is something say x......
it is written in dc pandey that no of fringes shifted =shift/fringe width
pls elaborate

its just saying
no. of fringes shifted=(shift in the position)/fringe width

why it is difficult for you to understand
