Q1)

Rod AB of length 3m and weight 445 N is shown immediately after it has been released from rest. Compute the tension in the wires EA and DB at this instant.

Q2)

The slender rod AB of length "L" forms an angle "β" with the vertical. as it strikes the frictionless surface as shown with a velocity "v1" and no angular velocity. Assuming the impact is pefectly elastic, derive an expression for angular velocity of the rod and the velocity of the centre of mass of the rod immediately after the impact.
