The slender rod AB of length "L" forms an angle "β" with the vertical. as it strikes the frictionless surface as shown with a velocity "v1" and no angular velocity. Assuming the impact is pefectly elastic, derive an expression for angular velocity of the rod and the velocity of the centre of mass of the rod immediately after the impact.
These are two questions which I fancy a lot. Try them. They are common, but they check your basics.
