restoring force

suppose a spring mass system is completely immersed in a liquid . If we give small displacement x to it then will boyant force be considered as restoring force along with -kx or not?

actually the restoring is the force that the system exerts to get back to its equilibrium
so here bouyant force can't be considered as a restoring force

but what bout that case when the body is not completely immersed in the liquid?
as boyant force depends on the volume of the body immersed in the fluid....

no actually -kx is only responsible for restoring...the bouyant force is doing some extra external work...

u r wrong... if the body is not completely immersed in the liquid then the boyant force will also be the restoring force... as it depends on the volume immersed..........!!

hey...I change my view totally..... :p
actually restoring force is a variable force

so when a body is toatally immersed in water then bouyancy force becomes constant where ever it is placed r8. hence in this case the force of bouyancy force is not considered as the restoring force

But..if the the body is partially immersed in the liquid then bouyancy force becomes variable...and so for this case the bouyancy force acts as a restoring force.
