see moment of inertia works on both the addition and subtraction principle...
So the thing is that if 1/4th mass is removed then the remaining mass is M
so the original mass was 4/3M
the moment of intertia of that part is ???? (Fill urself) I1
Now the moment of intertia of the part removed = ???????? (Fill urself) I2
So the moment of intertia is I1-I2
what if the hole is itself a complex structure, as a hole in a sphere.... how will we calculate the moment of inertia in that case
