I think the ans is (C).
as the body is going up, effective upward acceleration is decreased by gsinα. and the effective gravity is increased by gcosα. hence d answer.
- Akash Anand Wrong logic..and answer is wrong as well..Upvote·0· Reply ·2013-01-31 03:41:21
- Jeet Sen Sharma sir, but d numerator hav to be a-gsinα ?
- Akash Anand NO, u are again thinking in wrong way, sit in the frame of liquid and then think (Alternative Method)
- Karan Bhuwalka sir, why dont we take pseudo force for g?
- Karan Bhuwalka and what balances netF on surface of the liquid
- Akash Anand Because we take pseudo forces for the net acceleration ...not for each and every forces acting on it.

since it is an objective question i would put θ=0,the answer should come tan-1(a/g)and putting a=0,angle should be α itself...
- Akash Anand Nice one..but i think this kind of tips will be helpful for class 12.

By balancing the forces we get 2 eqns as
a/sinθ=gcosα→(i)and
a/cosθ=a+gsinα→(ii)
dividing eqn(ii)by(i)the ans is coming as [B].IS IT CORRECT SIR?
- Akash Anand Yeah B is the right answer.
