Here is the free body diagram........
It is clear that
N1=f and
N2=W
.............
but after that its given N1(AO) = W(CB)
I didnt get this line.plz explain
A uniform ladder of mass 10 kg leans against a smooth vertical wall making an angle of 53° with it. The other end rests on a rough horizontal floor. Find the normal force and the frictional force that the floor exerts on the ladder.
sumit, please post your attempt for this question...
Atleast the fbd that you think is applicable..

I didnt get this line.plz explain
since the body is also in rotational equilibrium , they hav used
\sum{\tau }= I \alpha = 0
nothing else ,
and if u hav such doubts like u couldnt understand just 1 line , then pls dont ask to solve full ques [1]
There is no rule in the sense that here we have equilibrium.. then net force and torque are zero..
otherwise there will be linear or angular acceleration...
no not that............i dont know when to take the torque with +ve and -ve sign ??
i feel that we consider either of clock wise or anticlockwise as positive and then the other directon gives negative sign......[1][1]
