Hint:
You can approach in two ways. Either you take upper part till C of the string or lower part of the string from C. Then you have to make the length constant of that part, same like the constraint relation.
- Aditya Agarwal sir, if v2 is diff from v1, wont the string become stretched?
because if we pull the upper free end by a distance x,
the lower one(attached to the block) should move left by a distance x) and the one of the left( whose vel. you've written as v1) should move rightwared by (x/2) ?

- Akash Anand For the given question V1 is not given. If it would be 1.5m/s towards right then your answer would be correct

- Akash Anand Yeah for this case we can do that also ..but in general it should be given.
