CE or ME pls help urgent

I got civil eng in one of the prestigious college but in second round iam getiing mechanical eng.

i like both the branches as both of them are related to mechanics.

suggest me ur opinion that should i upgrade for mechanical eng or remain with civil eng. not just regarding the placement but also considering the government jobs and subject toughness

Many topics related to mechanics r included in the course of civil engineering ... like Fluid dynamics ... etc. ...

Civil engineering is very much dependent on mechanics ...
just check out the syllabus for CE in all the 8 semesters !!!

My common sense tells me that with so much of construction activity going on all around the requirement for civil engineers will increase.
