i know all that i m asking how the hell can refraction occurs simultaenously when the angle of incidence is greater than critical angle!

I didn't get ur Qn exactly.
Frm the most basic ppoint of view...
TIR & Refraction both occur, but at different interfaces.
Fr Primary Rainbow- 2 Refractions (while entering & leaving the drop) & 1 TIR (inside drop).
Same way - 2 Refractions & 2 TIR(s) fr the secondary rainbow.
Otherwise, Before shouting at me fr the above, tell me wht the doubt exactly is ;)

ab see above figure got my question i saw tht in a video lecture.......n could not believe my eyes thts y i posted this question.........but most wanna be idiotic geniuses LOL!!

Aah ok!
So, is tht white light....? Because each of its components will have its own Ref. Index which infers each specific wavelength having its own critical angle.
So, it can happen ki some wavelengths are reflected n some refracted.
