1then the second image is bright as it comes after reflexion from silvery surface as some light is absorbed at this time the subequent images are fainter

1second one is brightest becoz .... it is a suerposition of two images...
and the rest will be less brighter ....

the first image is the faint bcoz it is formed by reflexion of some part of light from the "transparent" surface!!
i think you can understand from ther on
62well this is bcos there are 2 surfaces...
the outer most surface will give very partial reflection...
then the glassed surface will cause reflection...
then there will be multiple reflection

put your finger right on top of its surface and turn all the lightds of the room on
stare carefully i think you 'll understand
you shud see at least 2-3 images clearly
the first is the most difficult to observe but it is there after all
