A point object is moving on principal axis of a fixed spherical mirror.As the point object approaches the focus is it necessary that the image moves away from the focus?? Is it correct that product of magnitude of object distance and magnitude of image distance both measured from focus of a spherical mirror is constant??

or , u.v = (u+v)f
or, u.v - uf -vf +f2 = f2
or , (u-f)(v-f) = U.V =f2 (constant)
