why red colour is used in danger signals?

Red has the longest wave length and is least scattered and is thus is visible from very long distances.

Hence, Red light is used for this purpose!

Think carefully about it even Green and Orange have lower wavelengths!! (Actually VIBGYOR) VIB are not used!

So this makes the whole thing more clear :)
