then to by using BH₃/THF/H2O2/OH-
IS oxidised to butanal on oxidation.
this butanal is treated with the provided butyne in NANH₂ IN LIQ NH3 to give condensation product oct5yne4ol .it is heated to form the conjugated double bond and then it undergoes hydroboration oxidation to form your required product.
