Organometallic compounds are those in which the metal is directly binded to caron..
So ans B and C
In qn. 2 the formula of the compound is not clear..
If it is CH₃Cl then methanol will be formed
If it is CH₂Cl₂ then formaldehyde
If it is CHCl₃ then sodium formate..

Fr one see which is more polar, greater the dipole moment, more chance of being dissolved in a polar solvent.....so (C) & (D) are ruled out.

chk the (B) option....shud be Cl₂-CHO.
