1with all due respect to your preparation, my friend benzyne mechanism is definitely not in syllabus of IITJEE
Some things I found in Solomons which explain the mechanism of benzyne substitution..
So I was right initially about stability of carbanions.

39It's still important to know, redion. My sir did it with us too in coaching class when I was in 12th. People still pop up here with questions based on benzyne.
And for your kind information, I'm not giving JEE next year. I only want to help students to the best of my knowledge. I'm sorry if I'm found lacking.
