19indraneel.......you seem to have gone berserk.....what the hell can selenium do there ??? we use Se and heat to form a complete ring when some conjugation is present in the ring !!!!
we use this concept in the conversion of benzene to anthracene using thalic anhydride!!!!
19for the second conversion ......add (1)CH3CH2CH2COCl (2) AlCl3 ......simple application of FRIEDEL CRAFTS REACTION.
