to giv a iodofrm tst a cmpound must hav ketomethyl gr. i.e. CH3C(O)- or potential ketomethyl gr. i.e.CH3CH(OH)- nd it must b attachd 2 a hydrogn or a carbon......
Acids hav ketomethyl gr. bt it's attachd 2 oxygen, dats y dey dn't rspond 2 iodofrm tst....
