A)B2H6 acts as lewis acid B2H6 + 2H− → 2BH4−
Due to tetrahedral shape it is non polar and non planar

B)BF3 acts as Lewis acid
Its triangular planar structure gives dipole moment =0

C)ICl3 acts as lewis acid in reaction ICl3+Cl-→ICl4-
It exists as dimer (I2Cl6 )

D)SiF4 is used as lewis acid(in complex organic reactions )
It has tetrahedral structure and has dipole moment =0

Thnx nikunj, but still doubts persist...

A) R, S okay ; but why/how P...?

B) P,R okay ; but Q...??
Wht does "Q" actually mean btw ?

C) Isn't ICl3 nonplanar n hence nonpolar ? Aur yeh reaction ke alaawa koi aur tareeka batao yaar, je sab apne ko yaad nahi rehta.

D) Same here,,, Lewis acid, lekin kaise ?? n wht is this intramolecular acid-base interaction ?
