May i know the atomic orbitals of the same atom will interfer each other.

That is the s orbital of the atom chlorine interfers with its p orbital.

all i know is that s orbitals shield p orbitals from nuclear charge

can u pls see this also

by bohr's theory electrons are revolving around the nucleus in a circular path.

but orbital picture shows that electrons are not in the circular path in d or p orbital the electrons are not in a specified path.

how can one explain this.

yes can u explain.i have also read it.is there any practical proof for the presence of orbitals.

dont think diff orbitals interfere....but yes same orbitals interfere constructively or destructively..thats teh basis of MOT

if there is interference of orbitals within the same atom then how can we differentiate the s ,p,... orbitals
