May i know the atomic orbitals of the same atom will interfer each other.
That is the s orbital of the atom chlorine interfers with its p orbital.

by bohr's theory electrons are revolving around the nucleus in a circular path.
but orbital picture shows that electrons are not in the circular path in d or p orbital the electrons are not in a specified path.

dont think diff orbitals interfere....but yes same orbitals interfere constructively or destructively..thats teh basis of MOT
