1in book...........first ans. is given same as mine but in second ans. they have also replaced the methyl group by alcohol........any guesses how it might have happened...........................or is the ans. given wrong!!!!!!!

wrong for sure....
NaBH4 reduces C=O group.
but cant reduce -O-C=O group.
if we add THF to NaBH4 then it reduces ester group as well..
