Oximes

A carbonyl compound when reacts with NH2OH gives an oxime.
The reaction is carried out at a pH equal to 5.What would be the product if
the same reaction was carried out at
a. pH=1
b. pH=13

the reaction proceeds further to give the products of BECKMANN REARRANGEMENT !

hmm.. yeah Debotosh is right.. when PH is less.. concentration of H+ is more.. it will result into beckmann rearrangement and when PH is 13.. medium is basic.. then... it will reduce to form amine..
