it cannot becauseit is separated by 2 carbons in between them
so there is no resonance structure possible! i noe my anser is vague. cos u r new 2 dis subject..but readtheabove explanation i put..
what is the meaning of conjugate pi bonds???? plz explain with example!

A chemically conjugated system is a system of atoms covalently bonded with alternating single and multiple (e.g. double) bonds (e.g., C=C-C=C-C) in a molecule of an organic compound.
This causes distribution of pi electrons by resonance.
Examples are:
Benzene
C=C-C=C
C=C-C=C-C
C-C=C-C=C-C
etc
soory i mean by 2 bonds!!
d first two double bonds are seperated by 1 single bond
the last double bond is seperated by 2 single bonds
what should i do for studying resonance, i m facing a lot of problems, like which bond to move, where and many more.
solomon i think dat resonance is given in good manner..
but d problem i feel wid these books is dat they are too big to studee..
some of my frnds do it.. takes a lot of time.. but when dey finish dese books..they know a lot..
i think arihant is a good book. probably best ofr organic concepts.. d only thing is dat u have to make sure u dun get trapped in the "few errors" that are in the book
i have read resonance from both the books...and got everything they explained.. not while solving questions.. i face problems
dat is y i like arihant.. it has lot ofproblems between d theory :)
i noe u have bot too many books already and buying onemore may notbe worth it..i think u ask ur frndsif they have this.. then readit for 2-3 days den decide to buy ornot!
