1LDA is used for directed aldol condensations
in interamolecular aldol no of atoms in the ring dominates over the acidic character (6>5>7) but in case of LDA acidic character dominates (10>20>30 ) over the no of atoms in the ring so it is useful while choosing the cyclic product of the aldol
