S1 : A mixture of primary,secondary and tertiary amines is formed in good yield by heating carbonyl compounds with NH3 and H2 in presence of a catalyst.
S2 : The eqb. constant for addition of NH3 to all carbonyl compounds are very high.
IS S1 correct ?? "Good yield" is obtained ??

39Good yield is obtained only when excess of ammonia is used...so with normal quantities of ammonia we do not get a good yield. I think S1 might be false and S2 is true.
