What is NaN3's function in other reactions? Like, normally what does it do?
CH3CH(CH3)CH2CH2CH2Br + NaN3 in (CH3OH, H2O) →
wat will be the product ?
as the solvent is polar protic and N can form hydrogen bond with H, so will the reaction take place ?

YES AMAN the rxn doesn't favours under the given condn the rxn will not occur becase solvent is polar protic and the rxn will yield a cyclic product via SN2 when we use a polar aprotic solvent
