because oxidation potentials of both the electrodes become same.
or rather say no charge flow can take place in equilibrium condition.

areh E0 is assumed arbitrarily to be zero. and
at eqlb , conc of reduced and oxidised ions is the same, therefore by nernst equation Ecell=0
