If i give u the complete answer u will not be able to solve ur own riddle ..
inert gas has a considerable effect on the individual partial pressure ....
could somebody explain the effect of addition of inert gas to a system in equilibrium under different conditions????

if it is added at const pressure ,the total pressure remains same but the inert gas has some pressure,so the partial pressures of original constituents decrease

Addition of an Inert Gas
i) At Constant Pressure : The addition of an inert gas at constant pressure will favour the direction of the reaction where the total no. of moles at equilibrium shows an increase.
ii) At Constant Volume : The addition of an inert gas at constant volume has no effect. It only increases the total pressure but does not alter the partial pressures of various species.
