How rock salt "struktur"? [7]

P.S:
Ajinkya, my humble request to you and please don't get offended by it:

Please use a language everyone can understand. [7]

AjInKyA~ but the ans is "4"

socho,socho ,hint:Thikof r+/r- ratios

man howz it possible , i hav read itz an xample of rocksalt !!!
i hav seen it in jpnp . it b 6??>>>>>>
r u sure itz 4 , if so then mayb itz xception , which book or paper hav u pikked?

it is 6
no dout

thefiitje people say it to be 4 its in their package actually the range 0.414-0.732 lies for both octa and sq. planar quantities and hence i still dont undestand how u can get that its octahedral or sq. planar

Grandmaster ·

Maybe this ans as given is wrong but its a genuuine question that how can u say that a whch str. has sq. planar or octa. as both have same radius ratio range???????

So it's both octahedreal and sq. planar? At the same time?[3]

Grandmaster ·

no aragorn i am asking a way to distinguish between the two

1
~AjInKyA~ ·

it is octahedral as all rocksalt struktures r octa onlyyyyy
:D

dimensions (dimentime) ·

ajinkya is rt.CN should be 6 only, o2- will form lattice & Ca+2 will occupy octa. voids

waise bhi 3D me CN kabhi 4 nahi ho sakta !!!
