Please explain why nitride of Lithium is more stable than nitride of Potassium.

19Li is the first member of group III A family and hence has some peculiar characteristics just as the first members of all the families have ! this is one of the peculiarities ! its interesting to note that on oxidation of lithium,it produces both oxide and nitride
1I think it is because of the fact the lattice energy of Lithium nitride is more than that of Potassium nitride, but I don't know the correct answer.
