Please explain why nitride of Lithium is more stable than nitride of Potassium.

Li is the first member of group III A family and hence has some peculiar characteristics just as the first members of all the families have ! this is one of the peculiarities ! its interesting to note that on oxidation of lithium,it produces both oxide and nitride

I think it is because of the fact the lattice energy of Lithium nitride is more than that of Potassium nitride, but I don't know the correct answer.
