well just an attempt....
is it like....
0*0 = 0 can also be written as....(0*0)/1 = 0/1
bt wen it comes to 0=0/0......it becomes (0/1) = 0/(0*1)
which becomes 0/1 = 0/0 which is not really valid...
these reasons myt be useless....bt just thot to give it a try

a*b=c
or a=b/c.
we actually eat 1 step within these two steps.
correct one-------
a*b=c
or a*b/b=c/b
or a=c/b.(since b cancles out)
now we cant divide 0 by 0.
so it can't be applied for zero.
