The bar buckles as a result of a temp rise of 32 deg c. l0=3.77m and alpha=25x10-6.Find x.(the bar buckles exactly at the center)

L = 3.77 + 3016*10-6
L = 3.77+0.003016
L = 3.773016
Now the length between the two big bar remain same=3.77
Since the bar breaks at 3.77/2
Therefore Increase in length in half bar is 0.001508
x2 + 1.8852 = (1.885 + 0.001508)2
x2 = 0.0015082 + 2*1.885*0.001508
x2 = 2*1.885*0.001508
x2 = 3.77*0.001508
x2 = 0.0056815
x = 0.0754
X = 0.0754m
